Police Confirm One Person Found Shot in Casper Home Early Tuesday
One person was found with a gunshot wound inside a Casper home early Tuesday morning when police officers responded to a report of an activated residential burglary alarm.
The victim, who police have not identified, remained hospitalized in critical condition as of Tuesday afternoon, according to a statement from Lt. Jeremy Tremel of the Casper Police Department.
Officers responded to a home in the 100 Block of E. 10th Street at roughly 1 a.m. Tuesday and found the victim.
The investigation is still in an early stage, Tremel said, and that means little information can be released to the public.
"The Casper Police Department is using all of its available resources to thoroughly investigate the incident, including reaching out for logistical and technical assistance to regional law enforcement partners," Tremel said. "Dozens of law enforcement professionals from a variety of agencies are assisting in the investigation."
Further details were not released.
