For the next couple of days, if you have to cross under the Center Street overpass, you will need to find an alternate route, at least in the evenings.

The project replaces the aging bridge structures and includes new road surface between the I-25 structures.

The Wyoming Department of Transportation announced that they are hosting a public open house on Thursday, January 26 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. regarding the upcoming project that will replace four interstate 25 bridges, as well as the F Street bridge, over the North Platte River.

On-scene reports of a power outage near 1st Street and Center Street have been documented.

Center Street will be closed from West D Street near the Casper Area Chamber of Commerce to West B Street just north of the Dick Cheney Federal Building.

The city’s contractor is Keyhole Technologies.

Rob Piotter, owner of the soda fountain, said he was inside cleaning floors when he felt the building shake shortly before 11 a.m.

The investigation is still in an early stage, Tremel said, and that means little information can be released to the public.

Police have not identified the person who was injured.
