Casper’s Lemonade Day Returns To Inspire Young Entrepreneurs
You've heard the old saying, "Give a man a fish, and he'll eat for a day. Teach a man to fish, and he'll eat for a lifetime?"
Well, have you heard the old saying about lemonade? "Give a kid a cup of lemonade, and they'll have a cool, refreshing drink for a short time. Give a kid a lemonade stand, and they'll learn how to turn that lemonade into money and experience to shape their futures."
Hilltop Bank and Townsquare Media are proud to announce that Lemonade Day's 12th year is back in Casper on June 20. The event is free and designed to give kids the opportunity to learn how to own and operate their own business through a Lemonade Stand.
Lemonade Day equips youth with real-world financial literacy and entrepreneurship skills, including setting goals, budgeting, developing a business plan, understanding profit, and giving back to the community. Participants receive a Lemonade Day backpack complete with a step-by-step workbook that guides them through the process from idea to execution.
Townsquare Media Casper's Market President Nikki Strickland says that Lemonade Day is more than just selling lemonade for kids.
It is about building confidence, teaching financial responsibility, and helping our young people understand that they can create something of their own. When we invest in our kids, we invest in the future of Casper.
Families who would like to get their kids involved with Lemonade Day are invited to bring their young entrepreneurs to the Lemonade Day Kickoff Party at the Hilltop Bank location on Country Club Road from 3 - 5 pm on Wednesday, May 12th, to pick up their free Lemonade Day backpack.
The backpack will include information to help get them started building a lemonade stand and preparing for the June 20th event. You can also visit LemonadeDay.org/Casper for tips and tricks to a successful lemonade stand.
If you're not able to make the kickoff party, the free backpacks will be available between May 13 and June 18 at any Hilltop Bank Location.
Hilltop Bank has played a major role in the Lemonade Day tradition, and President & CEO Greg Dixson says the bank believes that strong communities begin with financially empowered families, and this program is a great place to start.
Lemonade Day provides a hands-on opportunity for kids to learn money management and business fundamentals in a way that’s fun, engaging, and impactful.
The Lemonade Day tradition continues in Casper, presented by Hilltop Bank, with support from Country Time Lemonade, Sutherlands, and a tremendously supportive community.
