Law enforcement officers arrested two people for possessing a stolen car Wednesday morning, a Wyoming Highway Patrol trooper said.

The investigation is in its early stages, and trooper J. Hardee said little information was available about the suspects.

While the Highway Patrol has the lead jurisdiction in the case, the call about the white sedan with California license plates was not made on a highway, Hardee said.

After the arrests, troopers were inspecting the car’s contents, which had been set on the parking lot of the Depend A Pawn shop near Second and McKinley streets. Contents included several baskets of laundry, a pink guitar and a vacuum cleaner.

The Natrona County Sheriff’s Office and Casper Police also responded to the scene.
