Search for Missing Natrona County Boy Passes 48th Hour
The search for a boy missing since Sunday afternoon continued into Tuesday.
An Army National Guard Blackhawk helicopter and crew have joined the search for 16-year-old Joseph Peterson who left his home at roughly noon Sunday.
Peterson went missing in the area of Goose Creek and Hat Six roads in southeastern Natrona County.
Natrona County Sheriff's Office Sgt. Sean Ellis said new dog teams have arrived along with a Wyoming Army National Guard Blackhawk and crew. Searchers are also using drones.
Ellis said Peterson is autistic and does not problem-solve at an age-appropriate level.
Several local, statewide and federal agencies are assisting with the search.
Peterson is 5'9" and weighs roughly 120 lbs.
Crews are using forward-looking infrared technology to assist in the search.

Ellis said 84 volunteers helped with the search on Monday.
Peterson was last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and pajama pants. He left shortly before a winter storm hit the Casper area.
