The search for a Natrona County boy missing since midday Sunday is continuing into Monday night.

Authorities from nearly a dozen agencies began looking for 16-year-old Joseph Peterson Sunday.

"The search is ongoing and is now transitioning into night time operations. The Natrona County Sheriff’s Office is not asking for volunteers and cannot stress the dangers of searching at night enough," Natrona County Sheriff's Office Sgt. Sean Ellis wrote in an email Monday evening. "Please stay away from the area."

Ellis added that all nutritional needs for rescuers have been met and that the public should stop donating food at this time.

Peterson is 5'9" and weighs 120 lbs. He was last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and pajama pants.

Ellis said Peterson is autistic does not have age-appropriate problem-solving skills.

More information will be released Tuesday morning.
