Riverton Red Cross Shelter Opened

The Riverton area has been among those areas most affected by the rains passing through Wyoming this weekend.

Red Cross of Wyoming has opened an EVACUATION CENTER at the Fremont County Fairgrounds in Riverton. The address is Fremont County Fairgrounds, 1010 Fairgrounds Drive, Riverton, WY.

Red Cross is also opening a Resource Center at the Fremont Center, also at the Fremont County Fairgrounds, where clients affected by the flood can receive assistance. Only clients with flood damage to their homes should come to the Resource Center. Vehicles and outbuildings do not qualify. Hours are 10:00am-7:00pm. The Center will be open from 5/10-5/13 (Tuesday-Friday).

The Red Cross has been providing assistance to residents affected by the flood, and we will continue providing this assistance throughout the response.
