Come join in a solidarity movement as we show our support for our Casper Police Department, EMT's and medical team at Wyoming Medical Center.

On Sunday afternoon, May 6, 2018, the Casper Police Department experienced a horrific tragedy when one of their officers was shot multiple times during an altercation.

That officer remains at Wyoming Medical Center and is in critical condition at the time of this posting. While local law enforcement is currently investigating the details of what took place, the one thing we know for sure is, that one of this community’s police officers has been critically wounded while serving our community.  We as a community are heartbroken and want to express our support for the officers involved, their families, and all the law enforcement agencies involved.

With that purpose in mind, please join us on Tuesday, May 8th at 5:30pm, for a public rally to voice our support and well wishes for law enforcement and the critically injured officer.

The rally will be held in Conwell Park, directly across from the Wyoming Medical Center, where the officer is being treated.   We encourage you, your family and friends to attend and help show our community support.   Everyone is encouraged to wear blue as a way of showing support and solidarity behind our local law enforcement.  A Go Fund Me page has been created for anyone who would like to help provide financial assistance for the officer and his family at https://www.gofundme.com/help-our-downed-officer-and-his-fam.  Those monies will be helpful in offsetting the expenses for family members who are travelling to Casper to be by their loved one’s side.

We invite you to come and join us in a show of commitment and support for our men and women in uniform as we 'Pack the Park for Blue', tomorrow (Tuesday) afternoon @ 5:30pm.

What: Park the Park for Blue - a show of support for of our local area law enforcement, EMT's and medical team at WMC.

When: Tuesday, May 8th 2018 @ 5:30 PM
