River rescue boats spotted on the North Platte River at Morad Park in Casper Monday were part of river rescue training. The training operations include the Natrona County Sheriff's Department plus city and county fire departments.
Division Chief of Training, Tim Cortez says the rescue instructors are from Montana.

"They brought two of their boats, so if people see some unusual looking boats, its theirs. We're using the one that we have down at Station One for the training. And then the Sheriffs office purchased a new boat, I think, last year. It's a big air boat."

He says there are four water craft involved in the training that continues on Tuesday at White Water park.
