Memorial Day marks the unofficial start to summer, and while that might involve drinking, Law Enforcement was making sure that various businesses were not selling alcohol to those who are underage.

During the Memorial Day weekend, the Natrona County Sheriff's Office conducted an alcohol compliance check, on 16 businesses in the county.

Undercover and underaged deputies with legal identification, visited various establishments, and were accompanied by other undercover deputies who were of age.

The younger ones attempted to purchase alcoholic beverages, and of the 16 businesses, servers at three of the places, did not attempt to check for ID.

The servers were cited for providing alcohol to minors, which is a misdemeanor offense.

Servers at the other 13 business did check for ID and did not serve the alcohol.
