Casper Police arrested a man for public intoxication after he was found passed out in the grass at Natrona County High School Tuesday afternoon.

Police were called to the high school shortly after 2 p.m.

Ronald Benally told police that he had been drinking vodka and beer when he went to NCHS to "sleep it off," an arrest affidavit alleges.

Benally was in clear view of students and faculty on campus and he smelled like an alcoholic drink. Police later discovered that Benally threw up in a bag they found next to him.

Emergency medical services personnel transported Benally to Wyoming Medical Center before he was taken to the Natrona County Detention Center.

The arrest affidavit does not reflect Benally's blood alcohol level.
