Inmate Leaves Casper Re-Entry Center, Apparently Steals Car
A man who did not return to the Casper Re-Entry Center as scheduled is believed to have stolen a car from a local dealership.
Jerome Michael Dunks, 37, reportedly went to Hill's Auto Sales in the mid-afternoon hours of Monday and asked to test-drive a 2012 grey Honda Civic.
As of Tuesday morning, Casper Police Department Sgt. Mike Ogden says Dunks has not returned with the vehicle.
"It is believed stolen," Ogden told reporters.
Dunks is known to have ties to numerous places in Wyoming and out-of-state.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the Natrona County Sheriff's Office, which is investigating Dunks' failure to return to the Casper Re-Entry Center.
