The Natrona County Sheriff's Office is searching for a man who left the Casper Re-Entry Center, having been convicted of involvement in a multi-state prescription drug conspiracy allegedly run by a former Casper doctor and his wife.

Dustin Vance Big Medicine, 37, pleaded guilty in September to one count of conspiracy to distribute oxycontin. Big Medicine was the first of 10 defendants to plead guilty in the case following the November 2016 arrests of alleged ringleaders Shakeel and Lyn Kahn.

District Judge Daniel Forgey gave Big Medicine a suspended prison sentence of four to eight years. Big Medicine was ordered to serve probation and time at the Casper Re-Entry Center.

Sgt. Aaron Shatto of the Natrona County Sheriff's Office told reporters on Tuesday that Big Medicine had checked out of CRC at 6 p.m. Monday and failed to return as scheduled later that night.

Big Medicine is described as a male standing 5'8" tall and weighing 205 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone who sees him or has information on his whereabouts is asked to call the Natrona County Sheriff's Office at 235-9282.
