Casper Woman Arrested for Meth Possession, Child Endangerment
Casper police officers arrested a woman Friday after they allegedly found methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia inside her home and vehicle.
Ralyssa Leigh Allison, 28, was booked into jail on recommended charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and two counts of child endangerment with methamphetamine. She will likely make her initial appearance in Natrona County Circuit Court at 2 p.m. Monday.
According to an affidavit of probable cause, Allison submitted to a Probation and Parole drug test which yielded positive results for methamphetamine and marijuana. Following that test, police officers were asked to assist with a search of Allison's apartment in the 100 Block of S. Lowell Street.
Police say the property manager had reported concerns regarding Allison, specifically the odor of marijuana and an increase in people coming and going from Allison's apartment. An officer was at the scene speaking with the property manager when Allison returned home in a silver Honda van.
A search of the two-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment allegedly turned up methamphetamine bongs, two meth pipes, two jewelers bags and a tooter with meth residue, six marijuana pipes and other paraphernalia. Inside the van, police reportedly found 1.4 grams of meth a jewelers bag with meth residue, a glass pipe with marijuana residue, a small glass jar with marijuana residue and a metal marijuana pipe.
Two children frequently stayed in the apartment, of which Allison was the sole adult occupant. Two witnesses reported that Allison drove the children to school Friday morning using the van in which police allegedly found drugs and paraphernalia.
The children were taken into protective custody for a short time before being placed with their father.
