A Casper woman was arrested Sunday morning after police allegedly found a meth pipe near three children.

Thirty-year-old Mindy Michelle Wales was booked into the Natrona County Detention Center on three counts of felony child endangerment with methamphetamine and one count of possession of a controlled substance.

According to court documents, probation and parole was called to Wales's residence after she failed to show up for a scheduled visit.

When officers arrived, they immediately observed Wales to be acting unusually nervous and on edge, according to court documents. Police then observed Wales glancing at a small bag sitting at the footstool of her couch. When they searched it they found a suspected meth pipe located next to a prescription bottle with Wales's name on it.

Officers noted that the meth pipe was easily accessible to the three children residing in the residence. Police also located suboxone, for which Wales did not have a prescription.

Wales was arrested and her three children were taken into protective custody until they were picked up by a relative.

Wales is expected to make her initial court appearance Monday afternoon.
