A Casper woman is facing child endangerment charges after police allegedly found methamphetamine within reach of two small children Wednesday.

According to an affidavit of probable cause, Elaine K. Garris called police to her home at 12:42 p.m. Wednesday. Garris allegedly reported that she found methamphetamine belonging to her husband.

The affidavit alleges Garris led police into a bathroom in the home and showed police an envelope with methamphetamine in it. On the envelope was a hand-written message stating, "Enjoy, you seem to like this s--- way more than I do."

Garris allegedly told police she wrote the note.

During the investigation, Garris told officers that her husband brought home the methamphetamine. Eventually, the affidavit says, Garris mentioned a date night in which she and her husband allegedly used methamphetamine while the two children living in the home were at their grandparents.

Garris reviewed recent text messages with officers. In one message, Garris noted finding a methamphetamine shard on the bathroom floor. The affidavit says she agreed it could have been a child to find it and possibly even ingest it.
