Authorities have identified the person who was killed Monday afternoon in a head-on crash on Wyoming Highway 220, the second such crash on that segment of highway in as many weeks.

Sharon Hasse, 67, of Wisconsin, was the passenger in a pickup and was wearing her seat belt at the time of the crash. One other person was injured in the crash, while a third person was not hurt.

According to a crash report from the Wyoming Highway Patrol, one vehicle blew a tire and crossed the centerline, hitting another vehicle in a t-bone style crash. It was not, as WYDOT initially reported, a head-on collision, according to the Wyoming Highway Patrol.

The report does not identify which vehicle lost its tire and crossed the centerline. On Monday, WYDOT said the vehicle headed southwest was the one that blew a tire, and the person who died was the driver of the vehicle headed northeast.

But the crash report from the Wyoming Highway Patrol specifies Hasse was a passenger, not a driver.

Of the two other people involved in the crash, one was taken by Life Flight to Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, while the other declined medical treatment, WYDOT said Monday.

The crash completely blocked the highway, which was closed for some time.
