Casper PD: Man Arrested After Chase, Officers Find Meth Pipe
Casper police arrested a man after a brief chase Saturday evening.
According to an affidavit of probable cause, police arrested 54-year-old Robert Holden on recommended charges of attempting to elude police officers and possession of a controlled substance - methamphetamine.
At roughly 6 p.m., a Casper police officer was parked when he watched a truck try to avoid a red light by driving through a parking lot. The truck then sped through the intersection of North McKinley and F Streets, the affidavit says.
The officer pulled behind the truck and turned on his lights and siren as the truck headed eastbound onto Interstate 25 before stopping at the East Yellowstone underpass.
The driver, identified as Holden, immediately exited the truck and began yelling at the officer for stopping him, the affidavit says.
When officers searched Holden, they allegedly found a methamphetamine pipe, according to the affidavit.
Holden allegedly told officers that he smoked meth several hours before the stop.
