The Casper College basketball teams had a productive trip to Powell on Saturday with big wins over the Trappers. The Thunderbird men's team certainly played the part of the 10th ranked team in the country as the trounced Northwest 112-72 to improve to 26-2 on the year. Broc Finstuen led the way with 20 points with Wil Layaki chipping in 17. Isaac Bonton threw in 16 as the Birds chucked in a dozen 3 pointers in the contest. Overall, it was an exceptional shooting performance from Casper College, who shot 61% from the field. The T-Bird women's team throttled Northwest on Saturday 82-46 thanks to an outstanding game from Nerea Baena who had 27 which points. Stalwart Lucie Hoskova had a double-double with 19 points and 13 rebounds. The C.C. ladies are 22-6 overall and both T-Bird teams will be on the road at Gillette College on Wednesday.
