The Casper College basketball teams posted quality wins over a nationally ranked opponent on Monday night at the Erickson Gym. The T-Bird men defeated #20 Western Nebraska 84-79 to improve to 12-4 on the season. The Birds led by 13 at halftime but had to scratch and claw their way to victory in the 2nd half. Chase Winchester was the leading scorer for Casper with 28, going 10-12 from the free throw line. Wilfried Likayi chipped in 18 with Levy Miguel adding 11. Western Nebraska was led by Vinnie Shahid with 26.

The Casper College women played a very good first half and cruised to an 82-67 win over #24 Western Nebraska on Monday night. The Birds shot 46% from the field and were led in scoring by Lucie Hoskova with 19. Casper native Emily Robertson had 18 making a dozen free throws out of 15 attempts. The T-Birds improved to 14-2 on the year and both Casper College teams will be at Little Big Horn in Montana on Thursday
