T-Birds Sweep Gillette on the Road

The Casper College basketball teams took care of business on the road on Wednesday with wins over Gillette College. The T-Bird men's team is ranked 8th in the country this week and drilled Gillette 100-67. Casper took 81 shots from the field and made 11 3 pointers in the game to improve to 27-2. Isaac Bonton had 30 points and Broc Finstuen had 27. The Birds also owned a huge advantage on the backboards, 52-37. The Casper College women's basketball team outlasted Gillette on Wednesday 51-49 to get to 23-6 overall and 12-1 in the Region IX North sun region. The win gave the Birds a #1 seed heading to the upcoming Region IX tournament. It wasn't exactly pretty for C.C. as they shot just 33% from the floor and 20% in the 2nd half. They did get 13 points from Lucie Hoskova and 10 from Nerea Banea. Casper will wrap up the regular season on Saturday at home meeting Sheridan College at the Erickson Gym at 2 and 4pm. The men's game should be super compelling as Sheridan is ranked 5th in the country and the Birds 8th
