The Casper College men's basketball team earned a #9 seed at the national tournament in Hutchinson, Kansas and will play Cleveland State Community College from Tennessee in the opening round on Monday at 11am. The T-Birds won the Region IX championship for the first time in 23 years thanks to a win over nationally ranked Sheridan College over the weekend. Casper College is 32-2 on the year and Cleveland State is 15-15 on the year. The winner of that game will play Ranger College from Texas on Tuesday. The last time Casper College was in the national tournament in Hutchinson was 1996 and the team went 2 and out that season.
