The Casper College men's rodeo team took 3rd at the Colorado State University rodeo as the collegiate season is heading down the stretch. The T-Birds had 453.33 points while the University of Wyoming took 1st with 725 points. Individually, Ken Thomson of Casper College took 4th in the all around with a 2nd place finish in the bullriding coupled with a 3rd place finish in the saddle bronc. Garrett Buckley of the T-Birds won the saddle bronc event with a score of 147 on 2. Cole Reiner took 4th in the bareback and he is currently 3rd in the Central Rocky Mountain regional standings. In the tie down roping, C.C's Wyatt Tarver took 4th. In the regional standings, UW is poised to win the team championship as they enjoy a big lead with Casper College 5th. On the ladies side, Casper College placed 6th at CSU with Makenna Balkenbush taking 4th in the goat tying, The T-Birds are 6th in the Central Rocky Mountain standings with Eastern Wyoming leading the field narrowly over the University of Wyoming. The next college rodeo will be in the annual Ropin' and Riggin' Days hosted by Casper College on April the 19th through the 21st.
