The Casper College basketball teams dominated Western Wyoming from Rock Springs on Saturday and continue to have strong Region IX seasons with just 4 regular season games to go. The T-Bird men turned in a prolific offensive performance as they beat WWCC 126-89 to get to 24-2 on the year. The Birds cracked the century mark with over 7 minutes to play in the game and had 8 guys in double figures in the contest. Leading the way was Amin Adamu and Wil Lakayi with 21 each. Isaac Bonton and Braxton Bertolette had 13 each with Broc Finstuen chipping in a dozen. Casper shot a remarkable 62% from the floor and connected on 16, 3 pointers.

The Casper College women rebounded from a lethargic performance on Wednesday to beat Western Wyoming on Saturday 84-55. The Thunderbirds advanced to 21-5 on the year and 10-0 in sub region with 4 players in double figures, led by Maggie Justinak with 20 and Nerea Baena contributing 17. Casper shot 50% from the field and was 13-30 from 3 point land. Both T-Bird squads will be at home on Wednesday night at the Erickson Gym to host Eastern Wyoming from Torrington.
