T-Bird Ladies Lose Two in Utah

The Casper College women's basketball team is 6-3 on the year after 2 losses in the Salt Lake tournament over the weekend. On Friday, The Birds dropped a narrow 65-62 decision to Utah State Eastern as they were outscored by 10 in the 4th quarter. Lucie Hoskova was Casper's leading scorer with 16 points with Rock Springs native Maggie Justinak throwing in 10. USU-Eastern made more free throws than Casper attempted. On Saturday. The T-Birds lost to Salt Lake 65-60 after being outscored 18-9 in the first quarter. Hoskova had an excellent game for C.C. with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Nerea Baena had 14 points on 5-9 from the field. The Thunderbirds have a road game at Trinidad State in Colorado on Wednesdat and will visit Otero on Thursday.
