The Casper College basketball teams tipped off the season with the T-Bird men and women posting 2 wins apiece. The men's squad with new coach Shaun Gutting, came up with a big-time rally in the last 2 minutes to edge Trinidad State 77-74. David Walker was terrific for C.C. with 25 points on 10-19 from the field. Jalen Harris contributed 18. On Saturday night, the Birds trounced the Air Force Prep 103-84 as Walker threw in 38 with Philip Pepple adding 16. The men's team has 5 new starters from a year ago and will be at Salt Lake City on Friday. The T-Bird women's team won their season opener on Friday 80-49 over Trinidad with Marija Bakic leading the way with 13 points and Natalia Otkhmezuri netting 11. On Saturday, the C.C. ladies pulled away from Otero 89-74 as Bakic had 19 and Otkhmezuri contributing 15. This team has 2 starters returning from a 22-7 squad from a year ago. Casper will be in Sterling, Colorado on Tuesday night to meet NJC
