NWS: 1-3 Inches of Snow for Casper, Then Another 2-4 Inches
Casper is set to receive two doses of snow as a slow-moving storm system moves through over the next couple of days.
The first round of snow is expected Monday night, according to a special weather statement posted early Monday by the National Weather Service.
Casper is set to receive one to three inches of snow into Tuesday morning, followed by an additional two to four inches Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.
The weather service says there is some uncertainty as to where the heaviest snowfall will occur Monday night. They encourage residents to look for further updates as the forecast becomes clearer.
Road conditions could be slick for the morning commutes on Tuesday and Wednesday. While any bad road conditions Tuesday morning should rapidly improve by midday Tuesday, road surfaces are expected to get worse again Tuesday night.
Elsewhere, parts of southeastern Wyoming and the Bighorn Basin are under winter weather advisories or winter storm warnings. A winter storm watch is posted for parts of northeastern Wyoming.
