Natrona and Laramie were looking to rebound from losses a week ago. NC lost big to Sheridan last week and Laramie dropped an overtime thriller to Gillette. In the opening quarter of this game, Laramie’s Janson Adair caught a 37-yard touchdown pass from Garrett Dodd to put the plainsmen in front 7-0.  So Laramie took advantage of an NC turnover but the Mustangs also capitalized on plainsmen turnover as Dante Wallace got to the end zone from 14 yards out to tie the game at 7. Natrona tacked on a field goal in the 1st quarter and the Mustangs were very productive in the 2nd quarter. Wallace scored his 2nd TD of the game from 8 yards out and David Miller came up with a 30-yard pick 6 so Natrona took a 24-7 lead at the halftime intermission.

In the 3rd quarter, Natrona’s Ben Hoppens kicked his 2nd field goal of the game and Cooper Quig was the recipient of a 13 yard TD pass from Harrison Taubert to bump the lead to 34-7. In the final stanza, Hoppens connected on a 43-yard field goal and Braxton Bundy scored a 20 yard run so the NC lead was 44-7. Laramie got a late touchdown pass from Jake Vigen to Isaac Sell, but Natrona prevails 44-13 to get to 3-1 on the year. The Mustangs will be at home this week to meet Cheyenne East. The Plainsmen are 1-3 and will travel to Cheyenne Central on Friday
