For the second consecutive day, lightning caused a wildland fire, according to the Natrona County Fire District's Facebook page.

District crews responded to a 10-acre fire near Poison Spider Road late Thursday afternoon.

Crews from the U.S. Bureau of Land Management's High Plains District also responded.

Thursday morning, the Natrona County Fire District announced it had contained and controlled a lightning-caused fire at the end of Archery Road on Casper Mountain. That fire was limited to about one-tenth of an acre.

The district said there will be updates on the Poison Spider Road fire.
