The BLM is attempting to take control of federal lands to the point that they alone would be allowed to decide how it is used, or if it is used at all.

The Wyoming BLM announced an oil and gas lease sale offering 57 oil and gas parcels totaling 46,250.57 acres.

Gov. Mark Gordon said he's convicted that any future land exchanges involving the BLM will follow the proper process.

Gordon: "Wildlife management is the responsibility and squarely within the authority and purview of the states – not the federal Government.”

The new lawsuit is targeted at the paused sales that should have taken place in the second and third quarters of 2021 and the third quarter of 2022.

The former Kanye West, now known simply as 'Ye,' is being sued by the family of George Floyd, after Ye made comments about the man who was murdered by Minneapolis police.

Court records did not indicate the residences nor the ages of the defendants, nor did they indicate the location of the affected BLM land.

This August, the court gave the BLM until November 2023 to analyze other coal leasing alternatives and disclose the public health impacts, both climate and non-climate, of burning fossil fuels from the planning areas.

Gordon said, "Enacting a moratorium at a moment when coal is badly needed to ensure a secure and reliable energy supply is wrong-headed on many fronts."
