Eight rounds are complete at the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas and Cheyenne East High School graduate Brody Cress keeps chugging along. He placed 4th in the saddle bronc last night with an 86.5 to earn over $7300 and has won over $70,000 so far at the NFR. He is 6th in the world standings and 1st in the average. Also in the saddle bronc, former Sheridan College Cowboy Zeke Thurston had an 84.5 but he was out of the money. Thurston remains 1st in the world standings and 4th in the average.

In the tie-down roping, Riley Pruitt, the former Eastern Wyoming College Cowboy earned some more money and he has been red hot lately. Last night he turned in a 7 and 5 to tie for first in the found and earned over $20,000. He is 2nd in the world standings now and 6th in the average. In the team roping, a no score last night for Ty Blasingame and he has been calling Casper home. He is 11th in the world and 14 in the average. In the bareback, Ty Breuer, the former Central Wyoming College Cowboy with a no score. He is 12th in the average and 13th in the world standings. The 9th round out of 10 will be tonight from the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas.
