A single motorcycle crash killed a rider in Mills Wednesday afternoon.

33-year-old Jeremy Ware, reportedly of the Casper area, died after crashing into a fence at the intersection of Riverview and Pendell.

"Speed is certainly a factor in the crash. He was coming basically northwest up Riverview avenue, crested the hill, and then lost control of the motorcycle. It was a Crotch Rocket. He lost control of it and slid across Pendell Street and came to rest against a chain link fence."

Lt. Phil Crouch, from the Mills Police department was on scene following 911 calls from witnesses. He says Ware was not wearing a helmet and witnesses reported he failed to stop at the intersection, lost control of the bike and crashed. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Crouch says it could be up to two weeks before toxicology reports determine if drugs or alcohol were involved.
