Inmate Taken to Hospital After Assault at Wyoming Prison

Wyoming Department of Corrections officials say a weapon was involved in an inmate-on-inmate assault at the state's medium correctional facility in Torrington on Tuesday.

One inmate was transported to the hospital, according to a statement released Thursday.

Torrington police and the Wyoming Department of Corrections are investigating.

The prison is currently running on normal operations.
