I-25 Closed Again North of Casper Due to Winter Conditions [UPDATED]

I-25 north of Casper has reopened with a 'no unnecessary travel' advisory for the area near Kaycee.

WYDOT estimates the closed stretches of I-25 could reopen between 9 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Monday.

Interstate 25 was closed again north of Casper on Sunday, a day after WYDOT reopened the stretch following a prolonged closure.
I-25 closed Sunday in both directions between Casper and Kaycee. No estimated opening time was provided as of 2:10 p.m.
Between Kaycee and Buffalo, the southbound lanes were closed due to winter weather. As of 3:17 p.m., WYDOT had no estimated reopening time. The northbound lanes were open, but hazardous conditions including a slick road surface persisted.
The rest of I-25 in Wyoming was open Sunday afternoon. However, other highways north of Casper were closed.
Those closed stretches of road included WY 192 between Kaycee and WY 387, with no estimated reopening time, and WY 387 between Midwest and Pine Tree Junction, also with no estimated reopening time.
WYDOT reported a high weather impact on the open stretch of WY 259 between I-25 and Midwest with drifted snow, strong winds, blowing snow and a road surface that was slick in spots.
