The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service is warning residents of southeast Wyoming and the Nebraska Panhandle to brace for brutally cold temperatures, bitter cold wind chills.
We will begin to see a prolonged period of moderate to heavy snowfall for the Snowy and Sierra Madres Ranges where 1 to 2 feet of snow accumulation will be possible.
This storm has the potential to produce heavy snow across most of southeast Wyoming and the Nebraska panhandle. Widespread accumulating snow is likely.
A Winter Storm Warning has been issued for the Sierra Madre Range, where a combination of 8-12 inches of snow and very strong winds will combine to create hazardous winter weather conditions
