Four T-Bird Women’s Players Move to the Next Level
A foursome of basketball players from the Casper College women's program officially signed letters of intent on Thursday at the Swede Erickson Gym. Lucie Hoskova from the Czech Republic led the Birds in scoring this season with 17 points per game. She will be going to the University of San Francisco. Hoskova leaves Casper as the schools 2nd all time leading scorer. Natrona County High School product Jaye Johnson will be going to Laramie to play for the Wyoming Cowgirls. Johnson threw in 11 points per game along with 5 rebounds per game. Rock Springs native Maggie Justinak elected to continue her career at Division II Metro State in Denver. Justinak was a double digit scorer this past season averaging 10 points per contest. Nerea Baena from Spain will be going closer to home as she signed with Division II Barry University in Miami, Florida. Baena averaged 10 points and 7 rebounds per game in 2018-19.
