CASPER, Wyo. (AP) — A former Natrona County juvenile detention center inmate has filed a lawsuit, saying he was subjected to unsafe conditions.

The federal lawsuit filed recently by Sharrid Jennings accuses Frontier Correctional Systems, the former operator of the Regional Juvenile Detention Center, of violating the standards for humane treatment of juvenile detainees.

Jennings says he witnessed sexual attacks and was ordered to clean up the blood of another inmate who had attempted suicide. He says he still suffers from severe emotional distress. He is seeking unspecified damages.

Frontier stopped running the center in 2008 and was replaced by another private company.

Frontier is listed as an inactive company on the Wyoming Secretary of State's website.
