Fire-EMS, Police, Medical Respond to Fire Near Central Casper
Casper Fire-EMS and other agencies responded to a fire near central Casper on Tuesday afternoon.
The garage fire near the intersection of Cody and Skylark avenues caused a cloud of smoke, but appeared to quickly dissipate as fire crews extinguished the blaze.
Four fire engines and numerous police vehicles were at the scene.
Andrew Sundell said the fire was reported about 3:55 p.m. There were no injuries.
A rescue truck was the first to arrive. Fire-EMS crews cleared the house by the detached garage, Sundell said.
Crews found the garage fully involved, and they were able to knock it down in a few minutes.
The garage was evidently a total loss. It is unclear if there were any vehicles inside.
The fire remains under investigation.
