Drive by Shooting in Casper [AUDIO]
A man is arrested for allegedly firing a handgun at an unoccupied vehicle.
On Monday, Casper Police arrested twenty-seven-year-old, Corey Garriott for allegedly firing eight, nine millimeter rounds into the gas tank of a van parked on the three-thousand block of DeSmet Drive.
In the early hours of Monday, Garriott is suspected to have taken his girlfriend's car and "High Point" nine millimeter hand gun with intentions to damage a vehicle belonging to his girlfriend's ex-husband.
According to police interviews, an intoxicated Garriott was angry with his girlfriend's ex-husband and wanted to shoot up his van for retaliation.
Detectives with the Casper Police Department found substantial evidence to arrest Garriott under charges of felony property damage and reckless endangerment. A conviction of felony property damage holds a max penalty of ten years in prison.
