A portion of southeastern Natrona County, just south of Casper, is under a severe thunderstorm warning.

The National Weather Service is warning of half-dollar size hail. Damage to vehicles is expected.

The warning is in effect until 7:45 p.m. Monday. The storm was predicted to be near Red Butte around 7:15 p.m. and Beartrap Meadows County Park around 7:30 p.m.

The storm was located near Emigrant Gap, 12 miles southwest of Casper. It was moving east at 30 mph.

Bessemer Bend, Casper Mountain, Rotary Park and Casper Mountain County Park are also expected to see impacts from the storm.

Heavy rain is occurring with the storm. Hail will cover the ground along the storm's path, according to the NWS.
