The Natrona County Coroner's Office on Thursday released the identities of two people who died Monday as the result of an early-morning mobile home fire in Mills.

Earline Maxie, 73, and Oliver "Ted" Kersey, 83, were both residents of Mills. Chief Deputy Coroner Wayne Reynolds said in a statement that the cause and manner of both deaths remain under investigation.

Interim Chief Justin Melin of the Mills Fire Department told K2 Radio News on Monday that firefighters had been dispatched to the Lariat Trailer Court at 4201 W. Yellowstone Highway at 3 a.m.

A Mills police officer was pulling one person out of the burning mobile home as firefighters arrived. One victim could not be retrieved.

Firefighters had the blaze extinguished by 3:30 a.m., Melin said.
