"Anytime there's a tragedy like this on the national scale every public safety manager, whether they're law enforcement or security, regardless of the jurisdiction, gathers information and analyzes what happened".

That comment comes from Director of Security at Casper College , Lance Jones, following the mass shooting in Aurora.

"And, ya know, in the after math, whatever lessons might be able to be learned from it, are obviously incorporated into a lot of response plans."

Jones says, he meets with Natrona County Emergency Management on a regular basis along with others on the Exercise Planning Committee.

He says coming up in September is another large scale exercise to be  carried out on the college campus. He says they'll test communication systems, evacuation plans, and their ability to partner with local emergency services including Casper Fire, the local health department and Wyoming Medical Center.
