October 31st 1911, that was when the Wyoming Medical Center officially began operations in its capacity of providing health care. Casper College is going to offer a presentation about the storied history of the hospital on Thursday evening from 5 to 7, in the Goodstein Foundation Library Classroom.

Treasure trove saved:

"One of the people that was instrumental in having the Wyoming Medical Center records donated to the Western History Center was Elaine Hough, and she will be doing a presentation on Thursday night, talking about the history of the Wyoming Medical Center."

Western History Center Archivist Teri Hedgpeth says that after the presentation by Elaine Hough (how), there will be a book signing with the author Rebecca Hunt, who wrote a definitive history of the medical center.

Book signing by historian:

"And then the author, Rebecca Hunt, who wrote the history, A Centennial Celebration of the Wyoming Medical Center, she will be here in the Western History Center following for a book signing."

Ms. Hedgpeth welcomes everyone, 5 to 7pm, Thursday, in Casper College Library Classroom, and if you attend, you can take a tour of the Western History Center archives.

Presentation is free:

"We will have refreshments and the book signing inside the Western History Center."
