City of Casper Will Restrict Parking, Traffic on Downtown Streets During Eclipse
Heavier traffic is already anticipated in Casper during the Wyoming Eclipse Festival set for next month, and now some downtown streets will not be available for on-street parking, while other streets will be shut down altogether.
Parking restrictions are as follows:
- No on-street parking allowed on David Street from West B Street through the intersection of West First Street;
- Further south on David Street, the segment from where Yellowstone Highway turns into Second Street to the intersection of David Street and West Midwest Avenue, will also be closed to on-street parking.
- Yellowstone Highway from David Street to Ash Street, and Ash Street from Industrial Avenue to West Midwest Avenue, will also be under the no on-street parking restriction.
Yellowstone Highway/Second Street from South Oak Street to Kimball Street will be closed to traffic, and no on-street parking will be allowed on that segment.
The Eclipse Festival is set for Aug. 17-22. The City of Casper will be enforcing the listed on-street parking restrictions and street closures during that period.
