Driving and traffic in Casper is leaps and bounds better than it is in the big cities, but we still manage to have a few local issues.

"Throughout the City of Casper, parking on the parkway is not permitted," the CPD wrote on their Facebook page. "The only exception to this is for residents of 12th and 13th Streets who are eligible to apply for a parkway parking permit."

Since the technical reason for the season is Jesus, I wouldn't think he'd want people fighting for parking spots and flipping each other off on the roads.

Amid downtown construction on 2nd Street between David and Durbin, the Downtown Development Authority has announced that it will sponsor free parking in the downtown parking garage from now until October 31.

The city removed parking meters from the streets in 1992.
