The city of Casper will move forward with an internal investigation into the conduct of Ward II city councilor Craig Hedquist.

The investigation comes amid allegations that Hedquist threatened a city employee during a discussion about street closures on Casper’s south side.

The altercation allegedly took place during an Aug. 28 meeting. The city employee in question, engineer Andrew Beamer, has since dropped a disturbing the peace charge.

Hedquist owns Hedquist Construction, a Casper-based company that deals with road construction and rehabilitation.

Hedquist was in attendance for Tuesday night's Casper City Council meeting but refused to talk to the press.
