Casper City Council will interview city manager candidates during an all-day work and executive session on Monday, according to a news release from the city manager's office.

Council will conduct the meeting at the Hilton Garden Inn, 1150 N. Poplar St., from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Mayor Charlie Powell will call the work session to order and council will hear from Chester Nolen of the executive recruitment firm Strategic Government Resources of Keller, Texas. Council hired the firm in July for $27,000 to search for a new city manager.

Council then will move into executive session to conduct the interviews of the five candidates. The executive session will not be open to the public.

After the interviews, council will adjourn the executive session. Council will not schedule any action for the work session.

If council has chosen a candidate by Tuesday, council agenda will include a minute action for the selection during its regular meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, according to the news release.

  • Wade Farris – Othello, Wash.
