Casper Reminds Residents To Keep Yards, Alleys Debris-Free
Despite the winter storm bearing down on central Wyoming today, the City of Casper reminds residents spring is in the air and that means it's time to start cleaning yards, neighborhoods, and alleys.
Residents are asked to keep their properties free and clear of junk, litter, weeds, tree limbs, and other unsightly stuff, according to a news release from the City Manager's Office.
They also are responsible for the maintenance of the alleys next to their properties and the parkway areas in front of their homes and businesses.
Tree branches, residential yard waste, metal appliances, electronics, and recyclable metal can be taken directly to the Solid Waste Facility, 1886 Station Road, for disposal at no charge when residents show their water bills.
Residential household hazardous waste such as paint, oil and cleaners can be disposed of at no charge by taking them to the Special Waste Facility across the street from the landfill at 1883 Station Road.
Trash bins supplied by the city are for bagged residential household waste only.
Items such as sod, bricks, building materials, concrete, dirt, and appliances containing Freon also may be brought to the Solid Waste Facility for disposal.
