UPDATE: The man arrested by Casper Police and charged with the shooting Sunday that sent another man to the hospital, is 36-year-old Zechariah Jones. Jones, who has one previous felony conviction for conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery, will likely be charged with attempted 2nd degree murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm.

He is currently in the Natrona County Jail.

UPDATE: Suspect arrested.

At about 6:00 p.m. on Sunday August 24th there was a shooting near the intersection of K Street and North Lincoln Street in Casper. An adult male victim was taken to the hospital and was last known to be in stable condition.

The suspect, also an adult male, ran from the scene of the shooting. Casper Police Department Officers and Detectives worked through the night and into today to locate the suspect. Monday afternoon, the location of the suspect was narrowed down to the area of the 3400 block of Whispering Springs in Casper. The Natrona County Special Response Team was called to assist as a precaution due to the nature of the crime. The suspect was arrested without incident in the 3400 block of Whispering Springs shortly before 5:00 p.m..

ORIGINAL STORY...

The first happened just after noon on Saturday, August 23rd, on the 200 block of Columbine, located in southwest Casper.

The victim was a 15-year old, who sustained non-life threatening injuries.

The shooting in that case has been ruled accidental.

The other occurred at around 6pm Sunday, August 24th, near the intersection of East K and North Lincoln Streets.

One person ended up going to the hospital with unknown injuries, and the case is still under investigation.
