In light of the shooting incident in Denver, Casper Police officers say they practice such situations, in case it ever happens closer to home.

"We do regular active shooter drills and we practice how to handle different situations. When we do those, we include all of the surrounding agencies and that way when we have these situations that are so overwhelming and taxing on all of our resources, we all are familiar with how we should be responding."

Sergeant Deahn Ahmed also says people should not hesitate to contact law enforcement at anytime, if something or someone is acting out of the ordinary.

"Be aware of what's going on around you. take note of everything and call the police department or contact management and just draw attention to whatever it is that's causing you to think, 'Gosh, that just doesn't seem right.'"

Sergeant Ahmed says withdrawal is one of many signs that someone might have some problems or issues.
